Sternad, 73, of Berkeley Township, formerly of Jersey City, died Saturday at the Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Jersey City, he live there before moving to Berkeley Township 10 years ago. He worked as a bakery delivery man with Pechter's Bakery of Harrison for 15 years before retiring in 1980.

Surviving are his wife, Ann; a son, John a daughter, Judith Ann Foscale; and two grandchildren. Services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, Toms River, which is handling arrangements. John Stanaway John Stanaway, 84, of Westfield, formerly of Jersey City, died Friday at Overlook Hospital, Summit. Born in Jersey City, he moved to Westfield in 1954.

Stanaway worked with the National Biscuit Company, New York City, for 47 years, retiring in 1971 as a sales manager. He also played semi-professional baseball in Jersey City. Surviving are a daughter, Sue McCrae; and four grandchildren. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Gray Funeral 1 Home, Westfield, which is handling arrangements.

Harriet Plonski Harriet Plonski, 86, of Kearny, died Saturday at home. Born in Jersey City, she lived in.Kearny for 40 years. Surviving is one sister, Betty Rogo. Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St.

Stephen's Church, Kearny. Arrangements are by Parow Funeral Home, North Arlington. Dorothy Holmes Dorothy (Schilling) Holmes, 80, of Hoboken, died yesterday at John F. Kennedy Hospital, Edison. She was a life-long Hoboken resident.

Holmes was a homemaker. Surviving are two sons, Robert and Raymond; a daughter, Dorothea Gorman; grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren. Serviees will be at 10 a.m. today. Bosworth Funeral Home, Hoboken, which is handling arrangements.

Angelina Laviola Angelina (Pasquini) Laviola, 75, of North Bergen died Friday at Christ Hospital. Born in Hoboken, she lived most of her life in North Bergen. She was a homemaker. Surviving are two sons, William Berkery and Donato; two daughters, Nancy and Catherine Costello; a brother, Arthur; a sister, Olga Pasquini; and five grandchildren. Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m.

Wednesday at St. Anthony's Church, Union City. Leber Funeral Home, Union City, is handing arrangements. Frank Mayo Frank Mayo, 32, a lifelong resident of Jersey City, died Sat- urday at St. Mary's Hospital, Hoboken.

He was a Navy veteran. Surviving are his mother, Frances; a son, Frank Anthony; a brother, Ronald; and two sisters, Juanita Widejko and Kathy Laski. Robert Mullins Robert Mullins, 71, of Jersey City, died Saturday at the Jersey City Medical Center. Born in Scranton, Mullins lived in Jersey City for 30 years. Mullins was a truck driver for Hemingway Interstate Trucking Co. for 35 years. He retired in 1982.

A World War 11 paratrooper, he received the European African Campaign and World War II Victory medals. Surviving are his wife, Eleanor; a son, Robert; three daughters, Joan Garcia, Marilyn Garcia and Pat Varisco; six grandchildren and two Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Rosary Church, Jersey City. Arrangements are by McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City. Anna Ryan Anna (Callinan) Ryan, 94, of Hoboken, died Saturday at the Palisade Nursing Home, Guttenberg. Born in County Clare, Ireland, she came to the U.S. at age 20 and lived in Hoboken for 74 years. She was a homemaker.

Surviving are three sons, Walter, Edward and Thomas; a daughter, Helen Deveich; six grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren. Litwin was owner of the Fair Wine and Liquor Store in Hoboken for 35 years, before retiring in 1983. He was a member of the Hoboken Jewish War Veterans; the Abraham Lincoln Lodge of the Knights of Pythias, West New York; and former president of the United Synagogue of Hoboken. Surviving are his wife, Minnie; and a daughter, Andrea. Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. today at Wien Wien Funeral Home, Jersey City.

Mary E. Walsh Mary E. Walsh, 87, of Jersey City, died yesterday at St. Francis Hospital, Jersey City. Born in Paterson, she lived most her life in Jersey City.

She was a homemaker and a communicant with St. John the Baptist Church, Jersey City. DeCicco worked with the First Jersey National Bank in Jersey City for seven years before retiring in 1976. She also served as a communicant with Our lady of Victory Church, Jersey City. She worked as a finance administrator with the Republic Metal Products in Springfield, N.J. for over 20 years.
