JUST IN | The National Grid Corporation declared RED and YELLOW ALERTS throughout the Luzon Grid on Tuesday, April 16, 2024. In a statement, NGCP said that the grid will be on red alert from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, and 6:00 to 9:00 PM. Yellow alerts are declared from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Luzon Grid's available capacity is at 13, 537 megawatts (MW), while the peak demand sits at 13,024 MW. According to the NGCP, 19 power plants are currently on forced outage while three other plants are on derated capacities. NGCP data says that 2,117.3 MW is unavailable to the Luzon grid.Meanwhile, the Visayas Grid is also on YELLOW ALERT from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The grid has an available capacity of 2,742 MW and a peak demand of 2,440 MW. In the Visayas Grid, 12 power plants are on forced outage, while five are running on derated capacities. 675.5 MW are currently unavailable to the grid.

JUST IN | The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines has declared a red alert in the Luzon Grid on Friday, April 19, 2024, from 3:00PM to 4:00PM and 6:00PM to 10:00PM.A yellow alert was also declared today from 12:00 NN to 3:00 PM, 4:00 to 6:00 PM, and 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM.In the Luzon Grid, the available capacity stands at 13,594 MW while the peak demand is at 13,127 MW. 19 power plants are on forced outage, while three are running on derated capacities, with 2,284.3 MW unavailable to the grid.A yellow alert was also declared over the Visayas Grid from 12:00 NN to 4:00 PM and 5:00PM to 8:00PM. The grid's peak demand stands at 2,445 MW while the available capacity is at 2,614 MW. 15 power plants are on forced outage while 10 are running on derated capacities, with a total of 736.7 MW unavailable to the grid.

JUST IN | The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines will carry out Manual Load Dropping (MLD) in the areas of CENECO (parts of Negros Occidental), NOCECO (parts of Negros Occidental), NORECO II (parts of Negros Oriental), MORE (parts of Iloilo City), ILECO II (parts of Iloilo province), CAPELCO (parts of Capiz), AKELCO (parts of Aklan), LEYECO V (parts of Leyte), and LEYECO II (parts of Leyte) from 6:00pm to 7:00pm.
